Who are the rebels? In April, a Syrian rebel group's pledge of allegiance to al-Qaeda's replacement for Osama bin Laden suggests that alQaeda may take a greater role in the Western-backed fight to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad. The rebels are alQaeda.
Isn't this exactly what we did in Libya? Yes.
In the American Free Press, writer Victor Thorn, points out that it’s a dirty little secret in Washington that the U.S. Compound in Benghazi, Libya, served as the hub for a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) program to arm rebels battling against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. According to an April 29 column by political commentator Katie Kieffer, “Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and then-CIA Director David Petraeus were likely behind [this] gun-trafficking program.”
To launch this new version of Iran-contra weapons smuggling, in August 2011, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton proposed the plan to CIA Director David Petraeus, who assigned U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens to handle the logistics for the clandestine operation.
Earlier, in March 2011, Stevens relocated to Benghazi, where he began amassing an arsenal of at least 20,000 shoulder-launched missiles, rocket-propelled grenade launchers and infrared-honing surface-to-air missile launchers.
To facilitate arms shipments to Syria, Steven's main contact was Abdelhakim Belhadj of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, an alQaeda franchise. By November 2011, Belhadj was meeting with Free Syrian Army leaders to arrange the deals.
To secure a crucial 40,000-ton shipment of armaments, on September 2, 2012, Petraeus met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in order for his country to act as a conduit into Syria. Four days later a Libyan vessel named Al Entisar arrived in Iskenderun, Turkey, carrying the weapons cache.
It was the Turkish Consul General Ali Sait Akin, who met with Stevens on the evening of September 11; Stevens escorted Akin to the gate. Neighbors have reported seeing over 100 fighters, flying the alQaeda flag, waiting outside the compound. Akin walked through the crowd, untouched. Yet he never warned Stevens or America of the attack.
It appears that the three main decision makers in the arms to Syrian rebels trade were President Obama, raised as a Sunni Muslim in Indonesia, Prime Minister and Sunni Muslim Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Sunni Muslim Mohamed Morsi . All three seem to have the backs of the Islamists in order to expand their radical Sunni reach throughout the Middle East.
The plan is to depose Assad and combine Syria and Iraq to one big, Sunni Muslim country as noted by the merger of alQaeda in Iraq and Syria.
The pledge of allegiance by Syrian terrorist group, Jabhat al Nusra’s Front chief Abou Mohamad al-Joulani to Iraq’s al-Qaeda leader Sheik Ayman al-Zawahri was coupled with an announcement by the alQaeda affiliate in Iraq, the Islamic State of Iraq, that it would work with al Nusra as well.
It’s really not about the chemical weapons. It’s all about power, money and Sunni Muslims….
