WJTC-TV started broadcasting the animated TV program "The Simpsons" on a regular basis again this past Monday, January 27th, after giving it the 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. timeslot in their regular programming schedule for Monday through Friday (they used to broadcast weekday editions of the syndicated entertainment news program "Entertainment Tonight" in this time period from Monday through Friday like their companion station* WPMI-TV, except WPMI-TV usually broadcast them at 6:30 p.m. from Monday through Friday). They also promoted its return to the schedule by broadcasting an advertisement for it during commercial breaks for their other regular programs (the advertisement features various video clips of Moe Szyslak, one of the regular characters of the program, falling for prank telephone calls by Bart Simpson).

You may learn more about WJTC-TV's history of broadcasting "The Simpson" by visiting the Mobile TV Examiner article titled "History of broadcasting syndicated episodes of 'The Simpsons' locally".

*WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV are members of the same company, the Sinclair Broadcast Group. They also operate from the same building in Mobile.
