Everyone’s favorite dysfunctional family The Simpsons returns for their 25th season.
Everyone has either seen an episode of the long running series, but just in case you have been in a diabetic coma from too many donuts, the series began as shorts on the Tracey Ullman Show in 1987 for three seasons. In 1989 the series debuted as a half-hour prime time show and was an instant hit. Since then it has become the longest running American sitcom, longest-running American animated program, and the longest running primetime, scripted series, as well as spawned a feature length movie that grossed over 500 million dollars.
In the premiere episode Lisa suspects Homer may have been “turned” when he returns a changed man from a nuclear power plant operating convention. So she enlists the services of an intense, jumpy, FBI agent to help her unravel the truth in a nod to the cable series “Homeland”.
There is no telling what this mad cap family will get into this season, but find out when the twenty fifth season premieres on September 29th on FOX.
