For all of you crazed Simpsons fans out there, remember the classic arcade game? Well, Konami has confirmed that a revamped version of the game is coming to Xbox Live Arcade as well as PlayStation Network. The updated version will feature a four-player mode in addition to several other types of game modes.
One mode, “Quarters”, will recreate the original arcade mode that we know and love. Another mode, called “Survival”, is a type of hardcore mode that will allow you to challenge yourself and see how far you can get with just one life. Finally, a “Free-Play” mode will allow you unlimited continues, eliminating the need for lives. It is also said that a Japanese rendition of the game will be included as unlockable content.
When can we expect to see The Simpsons Arcade Game? It is reported that the game will be available for PlayStation users on February 7th, while Xbox users will get access four days earlier on February 3rd. Konami has also said that for PlayStation Plus subscribers, the game will be free.
