How do we define life? To some people, life is a circus, a roller coaster, a game of cards, a journey. Sometimes we see it when we’re down or up or way out of our league. We can go on and on …

There are three things to see life in God’s view: Life is a test, life is a trust, and life is a temporary assignment.

Life on earth is a test. When we have too many problems in life with respect to our relationships, dealing with our kids, and how we treat each other is a test. How to deal with temptations. Flesh is something that most people fail and unable to overcome.

The Bible says … “Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God.”

To some degree, when we are looking for a job and couldn’t find it and we curse God because we are not successful to find one. And we forget that this is only a test to see our endurance in times of hardship.

Fornication is a way of life to some of us. Everybody is doing it? Sex is okay to do it out of marriage. We are very casual when it comes to this. This is our conventional wisdom to comfort ourselves.

God will not give us problems if we’re unable to carry that burden. He knows our limitation which is why God gave us something according to its degree.

Well, if we are in tune with Jesus perhaps we may be able to cope such challenges in life. To some extent, being overwhelmed with things is just a part of life.

Life on earth is a trust. God has given us the earth to take care of it. All things that we have on earth it can be in terms of wealth (include money and property), air we breathe, food that we eat belongs to the Creator. We have to take care of our body because God has given us a tent (a physical body) as He entrusted this body to us.

We have to take care of our environment because God has entrusted this to us, and humans desecrate the earth that would harm humans as its habitat. People abused the living conditions, especially the waste that was injected to its stream and oceans that could give bad ripple effect to its environment.

Remember, Adam and Eve when both of them failed the test, when God entrusted them the Garden of Eden. Trust is very important in order to do God’s will.

If we could see God’s view on how we live, in accordance to his liking, then we may be elated ourselves to the next level which is heaven.

Small thing that we do is a big deal to God, and that would be recorded in heaven when we retire earth.

Our excuse to God, we are only human since subjected to our weaknesses and exempted to this type of test? We cannot just brush off God aside, the way we perceive life. If we can see God and understands his thinking despite challenges, then we can fathom what life is all about the way God wants us to be.

We can discuss the third part … life is a temporary assignment, on the next topic.
