“The Showdown Effect” is a new 2.5D side scrolling, action game from Paradox Interactive and Arrowhead Game Studios. The game is one big homage to 80’s action movies from the cheesy one-liners to the guitar riffs and it looks like a lot of fun. In honor of the games launch an event is being held on Twitch which will let you take a look at this new game without spending a dime.
Thursday, Mar. 27 “The Showdown Effect” launch event will pit its creators against each other in tournament style play that will leave only one survivor. The GD Studio soldiers of fortune will be playing the new action game against Paradox Interactive's action hero specialists and Arrowhead Game Studios’ ninja squad. The groups will be competing in teams to win it all.
The QA team from Paradox will be playing to round out the battle to an even four teams. Producer Shams Jorjani and Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt will watch over the action to keep everything fair. This is a great opportunity to check out the 80’s action experience of new game “The Showdown Effect”.
