The Shins release new single 'So Now What' to 'Wish I Was Here' soundtrack

“Wish I Was Here” provided a teaser of The Shins’ “So Now What” but now have released the full-length track. The Shins release this new single as part of the upcoming soundtrack to Zach Braff’s new film, “Wish I Was Here”.

The Shins

Ten years ago Zach Braff had his writing and directional debut with “Garden State” and provided the means for audiences to fall in love with The Shins through, “New Slang” and “Caring Is Creepy”, both featured in the film. Zach Braff is resurrecting respect and increasing the popularity of film soundtracks.

“So Now What” provides listeners with a dreamy track fit with the soothing sound that The Shins have made themselves known for. Even if the film isn’t of interest this soundtrack is definitely worth the download and also features tracks from Bon Iver, Coldplay, and The Head & the Heart.

The full soundtrack to “Wish I Was Here” is available digitally now and will be released on CD July 15. The film premieres on July 18. Listen to “Wish I Was Here” in its entirety on NPR and check out the full track list to "Wish I Was Here" below courtesy of NPR.
