The Shield vs The Wyatt Family added to WWE Elimination Chamber match card

According to a Jan. 29 report from CagesideSeats.com, The Shield will wrestle The Wyatt Family at the WWE "Elimination Chamber" pay-per-view event on Feb. 23 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

While The Shield and The Wyatt Family are generally viewed as heels in the WWE community, it's a great match for the fans because there's a good chance both three-man groups will be breaking up sometime in the near future.

It seems the WWE wants to give fans this bout before both groups split up.

The Shield's breakup has been teased for weeks, and it seemed like the split was finally happening after Roman Reigns threw fellow Shield members Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins out of the Royal Rumble ring on Sunday night.

Reigns, who was one of the final two men left standing in the WWE Royal Rumble 2014, got over big with the crowd when he threw his teammates out of the ring.

Despite Reigns' actions at the rumble, Ambrose says the group is still tight and that they are as close as ever.

He explained that anything can happen at the Royal Rumble, and that he knew only one man could be left standing.

With that said, he explained that he wasn't mad at Reigns for throwing him over the top rope at the Royal Rumble.

Perhaps falling out of character for a moment, Ambrose disclosed what could be the real reason why The Shield is still in tact.

He said the WWE still has a lot of Shield merchandise to sell, so the promotion might not want to split the group up so quickly.

"Of course we're still together," Ambrose said of The Shield. "They're still selling Shield merchandise. We're still together, and we're still best friends. Wild stuff happens. Nothing good happens after midnight, nothing good happens in the Royal Rumble. You know, wild stuff happens, you know, so maybe just get off my back a little bit about it."

As for The Wyatt Family breaking up, there's a good chance it could happen prior to Wrestlemania XXX.

The updated Elimination Chamber match card now includes Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Antonio Cesaro vs. Christian in the main event, and The Wyatt Family vs The Shield.
