Do you ever find yourself asking questions about life that you can’t find the answers to? Is there something more to this life, what am I missing? Why do I feel so incomplete? Why do simple pleasures not satisfy me and leave me feeling empty? You may feel lost, scared and hopeless but do not despair, there is One who can give you answers that you are seeking.

“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” John 10:14-18

Our Shepherd, Jesus Christ, calls out to those who are lost, scared and hopeless. Like a sheep that wanders, He searches for us and His search is relentless until He finds us. We also need to be willing to be found by Him by being in a state of openness to hear Him calling out to us. Sheep know the voice of the shepherd and come to him for protection and security. He defends them against anything that tries to harm them and gives them a place to rest. Jesus does this for us. He lays down His life so that we can be with Him, and not just for a time, but for an eternity. He fills the void in our hearts where there was once emptiness and incompleteness. He gives us hope with a plan and purpose. He loves and guides us to a place where are found. Listen and Respond to what He puts on your heart.
