The sew-in craze of North Texas

The sew-in craze of North Texas. Its the latest craze with local Texas women from ages 14- 40. A sew-in is an easy style to maintain, plus its trendy and can also create most of the latest styles that women are wearing today. Its also easier than using the glue processs.

A sew-in also adds to hair growth. You can wear your style a lot longer without putting a lot of heat on your real hair. Most woment that have thin hair choose a sew- in for thickness.

Younger girls (teens) that don't like curling their hair every morning would benefit from wearing a sew-in. You can also shampoo, cut, curl (curling iron) and style your sew-in as you would your real hair.

A sew-in can add to your hair style and give you a more permenant feeling of wearing that particular style.

This process can take up to 6 hrs to do, but you can wear your sew-in for up to 3 months. Prices range from 100-200 dollars.

There are many styles that you can create from wearing this style of hair weave. Here are a few different ways of creating a sew-in look:

  • Straight with chinese bangs: The hair is braided in a circular motion
  • Straight with a part on the side: The hair is parted on the side and braided from side to side and connected in the back center of the scalp.
  • Curly weave: The hair is braided straight back in a cornroll style. By doing this, the tracks are layed side to side from back to front.

Items needed:

Weave: 8-20 inch hair

Curve needle: sm-lg

Weave thread: black, brown or blonde

Scissors: just plain old hair cutting scissors

If this is something that you would like for yourself, first find out if your current stylist can do this for you. If not, find a stylist that specializes in hair braiding, most of the time they know how to apply hair weave.

Maybe you can start a sew-in craze where you live!
