The Sevierville, Tennessee Riverside RV Park & Resort is Delightful

The Riverside RV Park and Resort is located in Sevierville, Tennessee, the hometown of Dolly Parton. Located a few minutes from famous Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, this RV Park is a true delight to use as a home base for a few days vacation in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

Everything about this park is designed with the RV user in mind. The level sites have easy access. The 'back in' sites are set on such an angle that even a novice behind the wheel will have little trouble backing that trailer into place. The roads are wide. The gravel is well maintained with no ruts or potholes to contend with. Many pull-through sites are also available.

This park has a nice general store, arcade room, and of course a nice pool. The bath-houses are immaculate. The owners/hosts are about the nicest folks you will ever find. Kent Loveday and his wife currently are the owners/managers, having spent the last 23 years in this position. This is a family owned business, and Kent told me he is looking forward to his kids becoming the fourth generation to operate the park!

The park is bordered on one side by the Little Pigeon River. This calm, wide river is beautiful to view, and many of the campsites are located next to the riverbank. (There are also several cabins available for rent, and these face the river as well.) Kent told me that there is good fishing in the river. I saw several large bass jumping each evening. ESPN has actually taped some fishing show segments next to the RV Park.

One of the things we really enjoyed about this park was the lack of road traffic noise. So many RV parks are located next to interstates or busy highways that sometimes sleeping gets a little tough. This park, however, was very quiet. Each campsite has a good sized concrete pad complete with a picnic table. Fire pits are available next to the river, and of course firewood is available for sale at the store. The camp staff even has trash pick-up daily so you don't have to carry your trash to a smelly dumpster.

If you are heading out for a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge, or even Gatlinburg, Tennessee, you will do yourself a favor by staying at Riverside RV Park and Resort. Full hook-ups with 50 and 30 amp service, water and sewer are available. The free Wi-Fi is also accessible throughout the park. This is a beautiful park with very reasonable rates. Check the park's website for reservation and other details.
