Funcom's next MMO, The Secret World, now has an official release date.  Although the game was scheduled to release in April, gamers can now expect it on June 19, 2012.  Until then, gamers can enjoy more beta testing including an inevitable open beta.

The Secret World boasts a classless gameplay devoid of levels.  Players choose one of three secret societies to join in the fight against the unknown.  The Illuminati, the Dragon, and the Templars battle for power against the modern city setting of The Secret World.  Not to mention, magic, melee, and firearms are all a part of the gamer's toolbox in this MMO.

Those interested in the press release can check it out here, but there's nothing major to read there.  The Secret World will be published by Electronic Arts which means players can probably expect to see it on Origin.  There's no word on exclusivity to Origin as of this writing.
