Have you ever wondered why some people seem to accomplish so much? Have you ever wondered what their secret is?
Do you have to push yourself just to get simple routines completed? You have ideas, you have passions, you are creative, you could do so much, yet you don’t. What is the secret that gives those people the power to achieve?
I found that secret quite by accident last week. The secret to life is just three words. Those three words are powerful; they will change your life. With those three words you can write that book, create a beautiful piece of music, paint a masterpiece, get healthy, save money, the list is endless.
It was 5 in the morning when I discovered the secret to life. My alarm was ringing; I hit the snooze button and drifted off for another ten minutes. It rang again. I did not know in a few minutes I was going to discover the three words that would rule how I lived from that point forward. I turned off my alarm and sat on the edge of my bed. I didn’t want to go the YMCA to do my morning exercise. I started to play a game in my mind and was trying to justify why it would be okay to just go back to sleep. Then a voice came into my head and said just three words. Those words were, “Just do it.”
I sat there for a moment, my legs dangling, my eyes shut, and silently I kept repeating the words, just do it. Then it dawned on me. How simple. All I have to do to achieve my dreams and goals, all you have to do to achieve your dreams and goals is, JUST DO IT.
I got up that morning because of those three words and went to exercise. I repeat those words every day when I wake up, when I have a project I need to get done, or when I have a dream to pursue. As you finish reading this article, think a moment about what you want most out of your life and JUST DO IT.
