John Blackwell, Cassie’s father has returned. He’s come back to Chance Harbor 16 years after the tragic fire that everyone believed took his life. Now that he’s back, what does he want?
It unfortunately looks like it isn’t going to be the father-daughter reunion Cassie was hoping for. Viewers know that John Blackwell is notorious for being full of dark magic and ultimately that is what brought him back to town. He wants his medallion back, but obviously Cassie can’t deliver the powerful necklace.
She is ultimately captured by witch hunters and judging by the preview, they torture her. How will she escape? Tune in to find out!
The official synopsis for “Return” reads,
CASSIE'S PAST COMES BACK TO HAUNT HER — Cassie (Britt Robertson) is stunned when a notoriously evil figure from her past shows up on her doorstep (guest star Joe Lando, “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman”). However, her surprise quickly turns to suspicion when he asks her to return the medallion she found in the wreckage of the fire that killed their parents. Cassie storms off but is captured by Eben and his band of witch hunters. Jake (Chris Zylka) offers to trade himself for Cassie’s freedom and when Adam (Thomas Dekker) realizes they’re in trouble he calls the Circle. Meanwhile, Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) and Diana (Shelley Hennig) are concerned when Melissa starts spending more time with Callum (guest star Michael Graziadei).
