The SearchLove Conference at Paradise Point.

SearchLove and Paradise Point

I'm guessing when you read “searchlove” it conjured up images of speed dating and brands like and Tinder. But, before your imagination runs wild, I’m going to rein you back into the world of digital online marketing. The only love affair that will take place here, is between the world's top online marketers, and those of us who are lucky enough to attend this world-class event.

This year the SearchLove Conference will again be stopping in beautiful San Diego, at the Paradise Point Hotel in Mission Bay on September 11 & 12, 2014.

The SearchLove Conference is fueled by two industry thought leaders who own and operate Distilled, an online marketing agency that “works to build exceptional online businesses.” Will Critchlow and Duncan Morris launched Distilled in 2006 and have since stretched their reach beyond the company’s home base in Seattle to establish offices in New York and London. This kind of international success is quite significant in and of itself, but add an industry-focused conference series, and you’ve got a winning combination.

I’m absolutely going…and if you are in the SEO industry or interested in SEO you should, too!

While I could easily entice you with the location alone, I’m going to (try and) stay focused on the unique highlights of the conference and the incredible value this experience aims to deliver.

Let’s start with the simple intrigue that tempts with overarching Features and Benefits of the SearchLove Conference:

- Single Track Presentations by Industry Thought Leaders
- Networking Opportunities
- Passionate Team Events
- Discussions and Personalized advice

This two-day conference assembles some of the world’s most recognized online marketing experts including, Moz’s Rand Fishkin and David Mihm, Google’s Krista Seiden, as well as some of Distilled’s own distinguished experts Adria Sarachino and Mark Johnstone.

The 201 SearchLove Conference is ready to prove its worth with presentation topics that will cover current and predicted trends we should all pay attention to.

Will Reynold's of SEER Interactive will be uncovering some new insights on link building, engagement, mentions and shares with big content in his segment on "Marketing in Your Sleep"- in which he will share his own research with #RCS and how the "long tail" of building valuable content with a focus on actually helping users can get help you obtain your online marketing goals...while you're sleeping!

Another interesting segment to look forward to is one that promises to cover the need for effective brand storytelling and how it can be used to drive revenue in "The SEO of Storytelling" from Big Leap Creative's, Lisa Gerber.

And one presentation that I'm personally anxious to see is Rand Fishkin's prediction for "Cracking the SEO Code for 2015: Tactics to Love Vs. Leave" - which is sure to offer us all some sound advice on tactics we need to let go of, and the new ones we need to embrace.

This year's eminent presenter list goes on and on, but as mentioned above, attendees will experience the ‘single track’ agenda that will assemble everyone together in one room - taking the guesswork out of who to “see”... which I’m truly grateful for. This select list of speakers deserves the attention of ALL who attend SearchLove.

The speaker line-up is indeed, amazing, but what makes this opportunity so powerful is the ability to bump-elbows and share knowledge with other industry professionals (not to mention hobnob with the speakers themselves). Oh the power of networking! And let’s be honest, this absolutely necessary in all marketing realms. Sure you could buy the presentation video later, but you can’t buy the memories and connections that will inevitably be generated from the overall experience.

The world of online marketing is extraordinarily progressive, and the rules within in it are subjective. Trends are being set, and changed, and set again. Just when you think you’ve heard it all, something new is presented, forcing us all to turn our heads, grasp the information, and put it into practice. Ok... tangent from Captain Obvious over here. BUT isn’t it nice, that in this sea of ever-changing knowledge, there’s a place where we can all come together collectively to learn from not only the industry experts, but from each other?

Interested? Well here’s another little added bonus to entice you further… this discount code saves you $150 on a ticket to the conference.
