Moms everywhere are familiar with the search for those elusive newborn and baby shoes that stay on their little one's feet. If you are on that quest, look no further. These cute, handmade soft soled shoes from Kaya's Kloset come in all kinds of different prints, patterns, and materials and are made right here locally in Brookline.

Kaya's Mom, Johanna Parker, owns Kaya's Kloset and makes every pair. In fact, the idea for Kaya's Kloset began out of necessity. It seems Kaya couldn't keep a sock on her little newborn feet no matter what. Sound familiar? Johanna started making shoes for Kaya, then moved on to family and friends, and now, thankfully, us!

There's a such range of cute patterns (boy; girls; and gender neutral) to choose from that we think you'll have trouble just picking one. In fact, pick up a few sets. These will make great shower and baby gifts for the moms-to-be in your life. Did we mention the Red Sequin Disco shoe pattern for newborns, babies, and toddlers? And that the price point is an extremely affordable $15-$20 per set? Yes, run, do not walk to snap these up.

The soles have a nonskid grip that make these shoes not only great shoes to keep your pre-mobile baby's feet warm, but they also make great slippers for new and experienced walkers. Some of the patterns also have absolutely adorable corduroy soles.

You can buy them online at Kaya's Kloset, and you can also pick them up locally at OAK (245 Newbury Street in Boston); Mama & Me (284 Amory Street in JP); Brookline Booksmith (279 Harvard Street in Coolidge Corner Brookline); and Kenzie Kids (200 Linden Sreet in Wellesley).

Also be sure to check out the Organic line and the Mommy/Daddy and Me sets. These will make perfect gifts for the holidays.
