The Science Lounge at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is a fairly new endeavor for the museum. People ages 21 and up are invited to attend every third Thursday of the month at 6:30-9:30pm. There is usually a presentation, live music, and a time for mingling with others to discuss the evening's topic. Tickets are $8 for DMNS members and $10 for nonmembers.
This is a great venue for creationists to have our voices heard, respectfully. Tonight (February 18th), the theme is "Life Out There". There will be a lecture from astrobiologist Dr. David Grinspoon and space scientist Dr. Ka Chun Yu on searching for the clues to life in outer space. There will be much to learn and many views to be witnessed. Be bold and let your presence be known.
At the same time, please keep in mind that if others hate us for our position, then that's a matter which is out of our hands. However, if people hate us for our disposition, then it's time to stop and remind ourselves to speak calmly with others. "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Proverbs 15:1. Let us remember to be gentle - being quick to listen and slow to speak. How we conduct ourselves is often more important than the content we are defending.
Have fun and let your inner nerd be satisfied!
