It’s the most wonderful time of the year again and Salem, Massachusetts, is celebrating in the way that only that town can with the Festival of the Dead. Rumor has it that this may be the last time we get to experience the upcoming holiday so why not do it with Jezebel, the Queen of the Vampires, and her friends at the Salem Vampires’ Masquerade Apocalypse Ball 2012?
Indulge in an evening of immortal sin at the Salem Vampires’ Masquerade Ball in Salem, Massachusetts, the Witch City’s darkest Halloween party! The end of the world is coming, the rivers have turned to blood, and Jezebel, Queen of Vampires, is ready to party. With her horde of hungry vampires, she ravenously descends upon the Witch City to feast on the blood of all who dare to indulge in her company at the end of days!
The Ball is all about the art of seduction in a way that only vampires can execute it (of course, pun intended). Whether it be the fancy feast of hors d’oeurves, harem of succubi, or fashion show by one of my favorite stores, The Fool’s Mansion, these “enticements and indulgences” (to use the site’s terms) will cause the blood to run hot in your veins. And if that isn’t enough to get your blood pumping, dj addambombb will be providing the tunes that will keep you dancing all night.
It’s not all pleasure, though. According to the website:
The intoxicating sacrilege of the evening culminates in a ritual seduction of the soul, where each guest is offered a choice—kneel before Jezebel and receive her unholy communion, or be utterly consumed by the coming doom!
Okay, maybe it is all pleasure.

The Vampires’ Masquerade Ball is held at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem from 8 pm to 12:30 am, and is 18+. Tickets are $95 and can be bought here or by phone at (800) 595-4TIX. I know the price seems a little steep, but I assure you it is completely worth it—not to mention that being in Salem during the Halloween season is an amazingly surreal and spooky fun experience I cannot even begin to explain. Go see what I mean.
