UPDATE: Ethan has been rescued and has been renamed Max. He has been adopted by Christina, her two-year-old daughter and two small pooches named Bruiser and Emma.

Thank you everyone for sharing this boy's story and helping to find him a home.

Live a long, wonderful life Max.

Ethan is the saddest dog, with a broken heart, living at the San Bernardino County Animal Shelter. All day he just sits in his kennel watching the door. Although dogs live for the moment, Ethan is waiting for someone.

Ethan was brought in on April 2 and will be available for adoption on April 9. His ID# is A463249.

The two-year-old gray and white male pit bull mix has been described as extremely gentle and kind. A volunteer stated the following:

"Ethan is so depressed. He didn't even want to look at me when I visited him today. It's kind of cold today, but I think he's shaking more because he is just petrified being here. This poor boy needs a home soon."

Please watch his video by clicking here; it's easy to see just how scared and depressed the situation is for this little guy.
