The Ryan Newman Foundation Annual Charity Fishing Tournament has set the date of Saturday, December 14, 2013. Mark your calendars and register online at www.ryannewmanfoundation.com for this annual event.
The Pinnacle Boat Ramp on Highway 50 in Mooresville, NC is the new location for the event held from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The cost is $200 for a two man team and an extra $50 for the big fish contest. As reported on the website on January 25, there will be no more than 175 boats allowed in the tournament and there will be closure of the online registration on Friday, December 6, 2013 at noon.
Bass Pro Shops will hold the team check in from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 and if there are any open spots, you are welcome to participate.
There will be no registrations accepted the morning of December 14, 2013.
The Ryan Newman tournament held in December, 2012 raised more than $340k for animal, education and conservation needs.
The Ryan Newman Foundation was started in January, 2005 to teach pet owners to spay and neuter their pets and encourage adoptions from animal shelters. Conservation efforts to maintain the beauty of nature for upcoming generations is also part of the mission along with helping to promote college education with the Rich Vogler Scholarship Program for up and coming students wishing to pursue a racing career.
