Two-time Inspirational Country Music's Duo of the Year (2010, 2009) award winners The Roys recently joined Ray Stevens, Danny Gokey, Michael English, Gary Chapman, Karen Peck & New River and others to raise funds for the Somebody Cares For The Southeast cause. The event raised money for flood and tornado victims imperiled by the area's recent storms, and 100% of the telethon's proceeds will go to those in need.

The Roys, whose current Rural Rhythm Records CD Lonesome Whistle entered the Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart at #7, were happy to donate their time to the worthy cause. "The devastation is overwhelming at first glance," said Elaine Roy. "But when you see so many people coming together to lend a hand, it doesn't seem so insurmountable," she added.
"Southerners are pretty resilient," her brother Lee said. "In spite of all this destruction, people have kept their faith alive and continued to help their friends and families. They are a true inspiration."
The siblings performed two songs ("Give A Ride To The Devil"and "High Road)" from their new disc.
