Thanksgiving may be an American tradition, but so is taking in a theatrical show, whether it be at the movie theater or watching a great performance live on a stage.

After your tummy has been filled with turkey and all the fixings, maybe you can roll on over to the Ford in Hollywood and take in an award winning show worth seeing.

This Thanksgiving weekend, you can watch the live stage performance of The Romance of Magno Rubio (Ang Romansa ni Magno Rubio), a play by Lonnie Carter based on a famous dramatic Filipino short story written by Carlos Bulosan. Set in 1930's California, following a migrant worker as he goes through his daily struggles, learn about his hopes and dreams in this new world of possibilities, and his love struck character.

It is an OBIE award-winner.

Show Business Weekly called it, " A powerful blend of song, spoken word, and percussive movement unfolds in a cascasde of music, emotion, and inventive theatrics."

L.A. Weekly said "The entire ensemble is fantastic, their movements crisp and energetic, their expressions full of vivacity and their vocals beautifully harmonic. The show, at its core, has the bawdy, wonderful, put-it-all-out-there-ness of a well-done Shakespeare play."
