The role and function of the Praise and Worship Leaders and Ministers is to confront the enemy and expand the territory. The enemy always tries to take the praise first and will also go after the head. Be watchful and block the enemy from the Pastor.
Praise and Worship Leaders
God will use praise to annihilate the enemy. Praise and Worship Leaders are the forerunners, who set the stage and are on the front line. They hit the enemy first and are the first to get hit. A lot of Praise Team Leaders can’t or don’t stand in place because they can’t take the hit. They stand in “me,” instead of “Him.”
Leaders must begin in prayer before coming out to serve, putting flesh under subjection. You must in-reach before you outreach. It is about the attitude and spirit, not the talent or voice; and the ability to be a good team player that is in tune with the team. People should hear you, not see you; be one voice, one instrument. You must deprogram yourself to be sensitized to the move of God.
Ministerial Staff
Ministers must stay in place, keep their rank. Your calling is a responsibility; you have to level up and lead by example as a team. Everyone should be doing some type of ministry. Check your humbleness and fix your attitude first. Wait for your time to be recognized. Wait until you are ready to be seen, and only God knows when you are ready.
The enemy always releases giants and goes after the head, which is why the Church must build champions in skills, gifts, character and anointing. Be a confident champion in your call and your message. Be a valuable member of the team. Every team needs a prayer warrior- a champion in prayer to cover the head. Covering the head covers the team.
Leadership Rules
- Dress in armor to protect your head (thought patterns), body (sensitive parts), feet (guard your walk).
- Don’t let people come in and cause confusion or strife.
- Check and examine the motives of those who serve the Ministry. Determine if they are in ministry to participate, stop it or start their own.
Look for Leaders who have been touched by God:
T = Trained to lead and work as a team
O = Ordained to handle Opposition
U = Spirit of Unity
C = Represent Consecration and Shun Confusion
H = Know how to Handle Hard Times
