The Rock, who is scheduled to appear on RAW this coming Monday, has been teasing that his upcoming WrestleMania match will be of historic proportions. While nothing is set in stone where the WWEs biggest show on the year is concerned, this appearance by The Rock will be the first of many to help set-up his match at WrestleMania.
There were preliminary plans for The Rock to do battle with either John Cena or CM Punk but recently there have been whispers that The Undertaker will be opposite The Rock when WrestleMania takes place on April 7, 2013 at MetLife Stadium.
With Brock Lesnar most likely facing Triple H at WrestleMania and CM Punk doing battle with The Rock at Royal Rumble, the most logical booking would pit Punk against John Cena leaving The Undertaker to square off against The Rock at WrestleMania.
The Undertaker has been largely absent from the WWE outside of an appearance at the 1000th RAW and injuries continue to limit what he can do in the ring but he has expressed a desire to appear at WrestleMania and continue his undefeated streak that has become synonymous with both WrestleMania and The Undertaker.
WrestleMania XXIX is gearing up to be one of the biggest and best WrestleMania's in history featuring a number of major names and high profile matches. Lesnar will see his current contract expire after WrestleMania but he is expected to re-sign with the WWE especially if the show does big PPV numbers. Lesnar has meant an increase in buy rates for the PPVs he appeared on in 2012.
If The Undertaker does wrestle The Rock, who could be the WWE Champion at the time of the match, the "streak" should continue and it is possible The Undertaker will retire being undefeated at WrestleMania and as the WWE Champion.
