The Rock debuts new WWE title on Monday's Raw

For some it could not have come soon enough but the WWE finally revealed a new design for the flagship title of sports entertainment. On Monday's edition of WWE Raw, current WWE champ The Rock revealed the new title which will replace the 'spinner' title following an eight year run.

The Rock became the WWE champion in January by defeating CM Punk at the Royal Rumble pay per view. He went on to defend the title against Punk last Sunday night at the Elimination Chamber pay per view.

Some say the redesign of the title is long overdue. The Rock had this to say about the John Cena inspired 'spinner belt.'

"The WWE should never look like a toy and it should never ever...spin."

Even former champ CM Punk campaigned for the title to be redesigned but it apparently took the WWE much longer to finalize a new look for the belt. According to sources the title cost around fifty thousand dollars to design and create. It was designed by Paul Teutul Sr. of Orange County Choppers and Dave Millican.

What do you think of the new WWE title design?
