Considered to be the rising star of London Fashion Week, Michael van der Hams spring summer 2014 collection is an unusual mix of Swarovski crystal and luxury fabrics.
The spring Summer 2014 by the Dutch designer is inspired by vintage couture pieces from the forties and sixties. Using luxury, vintage brocade fabrics,Van der ham deconstructs and layers the fabric. Vintage inspired three dimensional Swarovski crystals are used as embellishment, some in shapes of mesh balls or abstract patterns.
The silhouette for the season collection, slightly flared skirts, again returning to vintage inspired couture.
Having interned for both Alexander McQueen and Sophia Koko, this is van der Ham's sixth collection.
