The right time

Recently I tried to have Dr. Sybil Kramer who is the author and doctor of www.diabeticsurvivalskills.com have an informational session to promote awareness on Diabetes. There were not many that showed up. I questioned it, because this disease is very serious. People told me that it was not the right time to do this, because of the holidays. When is the right time to promote awareness to help the heart, pancreas, and health problems?

We all know that any given time someone could take a heart attack, stroke, or could diagnosed with Diabetes. It is this time of year where many people eat the wrong foods, drink alcohol, or soda and juice. All of these have sugar in them and at this point the bodies sugar levels could rise. I believe it is best to talk about these concerns around this time of year, so maybe people will change their way of eating before it is too late. For example, instead of two pieces of break, only have one. If a person is drinking juice they can mix it up with some water. Possibly a tiny piece of cake, instead of a big piece. Only one cookie or piece of candy. These tips can help a lot.
