Ever since Ben Affleck was selected as the next Batman; there have been a ton of rumors flying around regarding actors that could take different roles. Bryan Cranston could be Lex Luthor. Matt Damon could end up as Aquaman. Now, People reported on Aug. 30, 2013, that Justin Timberlake wants to step into the green shoes of The Riddler.
Earlier this week, the 32-year-old singer and actor went on the "Jim & Kim Morning Show" on Fresh 102.7, and said that he'd love to be in the "Man of Steel" sequel. Timberlake defended the choice of Affleck as Batman, and then let it be known that he wants to be a villain, not a sidekick.
"I ain't playin' Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie," Timberlake said. "Now, villain! I'll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler."
Timberlake continued on and said that he is up for all kinds of acting roles. Still, he wants it to be known that if he's going to step into a role, he wants it to be done right.
"The Riddler was like a sociopath," Timberlake explained. "He was proper crazy. So if I'm gonna play crazy, I wanna play proper crazy… I'm ready. The Riddler. Give me a call!"
The yet untitled "Man of Steel" sequel is set for release on July 17, 2015, and it is not yet known if Timberlake will join Affleck on the screen. The singer does believe though that Affleck "could surprise a lot of people."
