The 2013 CES was not just an experience for the mere days in conference. It’s really the beginning of an ongoing relationship. For once you are exposed to technology reshaping today’s and tomorrow landscape, your visionary perspective on possibilities are forever changed. With that in mind, let me offer my thoughts on the CardNinja (www.cardninja.com), and Bell’O Digital Headphones (www.bello.com), which I received during CES.
In simplicity, if you’re like me, and looking to eliminate dealing with both a wallet and a phone, then this product provides a solution. Now, my phone is pretty small and lightweight. Yet, the ‘cardninja’ managed to fit comfortably, and I’ve been using it ever sense. To note, the pouch does indeed hold your cards and money, as touted. Also, for me, when I put cards into the cardninja, I can sit my phone erect on its side; in comparison to only being able to lay it down flat, before. Accordingly, my wallet has been laid to rest. However, I do have an upcoming part-time role, where I am not permitted to have a cell phone while on duty. So, I will have to make some decisions, on the current setup.
As a light vibe to garner reaction, I showed it to a variety of folks. Fair to say, you might think as somewhat cool to have, sort of fun as a conversational piece, and very practical for carrying a small number of key cards. Of course, there were a couple of individuals, males, who would not use it as a substitute. And obviously, a wallet can hold more stuff. But, make no mistake, the convenience of not carrying both is a pleasant relief, long overdue for some of us.
Continuing with reviews, you’ll immediately notice two things about the Bell’O Digital Headphone; the comfort ability around your ear, while in use or the feel after removal; and sound quality seems elevated, where you do not need a high volume level, or adjustments, to say your bass/treble. Hence, no matter the device you use it for, the listening experience is heightened. I personally liked, through DVD watching on a computer, how the headphones gave a movie theater impression. However, it is true, as they state, you’ll have to get a feel, how the one touch control will respond to the device your using it with. For my cell phone, I could do the one and two clicks, relating to pause and next track; however, I was unable to get to the previous track, with three quick clicks; nor a kick-in of the voice command. Please note, I did not have the availability of their manual. In addition, when pulling the plug out of your device, you’ll likely need to use three fingers, as the small bottom wire covering does have a tendency to slide up. And as more a personal preference, I would have desired a slightly longer cable, the current one being listed as 5 ft. But overall, there is much to enjoy about these headphones, including the travel bag, which is a very nice touch.
