Conversation is the art of taking the time honored adage, "When I talk, you listen; when you talk, I listen". However, sometimes, things get lost in translation, and as a result, people can be lost and disconnected on an individual or collective level. This Thursday, April 11th, after taking a little time away, the Art of Conversation returns with the same energy and focus as the month of March enters (like a lion) by roaring in its new series. Taking place at the House of Adrene from 6-9pm, the focus of the day is on the role of education, but not in the traditional sense; in this instance, it is taking a long, hard, thoughtful, and thought-provoking look at the interpersonal habits (i.e. dating, professional and personal relationships, etc) as it relates to the growing notion the higher the degree one has, the more challenging it can be to maintain or find a good relationship.
Is there any merit to the idea that someone can be too successful for their own good when it comes to interpersonal and professional relationship? This is yet another example of the myriad of engaging topics and discussions "the Art" has, is, and continues to deliver to its growing and diverse audience. Given their panel of notables such as (but not limited to) Dr. Alduan Tartt, Jai Stone, Anthony "The Voice" Faucette, Angelia "Lia Marie" Brown, along with the social-media expertise of Vitamin Q and the entertainment provided by the Natural Gentlemen Media Group, the event should provide a balance of networking, along with a healthy sharing and exchanging of thoughts and ideas designed to gain a better understanding of these and other key and critical interpersonal and group topics.
Toy Closet, Pretty Girls Rock Dresses LLC, Great Date Deals, Blaque Book, and Kymira Marketing Solutions are serving as sponsors for the event.
Patrons are asked to bring a canned good. All goods collected are being donated to Hosea Feed the Hungry for their ongoing efforts to battle hunger, homelessness, and other related issues.
Balancing social action and individual and collective awareness synthesized with the use of alternative and creative means and methods to bring people together, this Thursday should be one that is full of "art" for all to enjoy.
