According to E Online on Feb 27, it appears Bryan Singer is still hopeful about Halle Berry's return to "X-Men: Days of Future Past". Things are still hazy about Berry and Singer is still unsure.
Singer was questioned on the possible return of not only Halle Berry, but also Rebecca Romijn, both of which played Storm and Mystique. Singer explained, ""It depends on how it works out," Singer said. "I loved working with Halle, so all I can say is we'll see what happens".
No comment was mentioned about Romijn, so chances are it's highly unlikely she'll making a return. It appears that Jennifer Lawrence might be taking on the iconic Mystique role from the "X-Men" prequel. "The Hunger Games" star will be making a mad dash out of Hawaii to film the "X-Men" sequel soon after she has completed "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" project, so she is burning candles at both ends.
Also, another actress that isn't returning would be January Jones who played by the mental image inducing Emma Frost. Also, Rose Byrne who played Moira MacTaggert in "X-Men: First Class" mentioned she's received no notification of her coming back.
Hugh Jackman will also be returning as "The Wolverine" and as the character by the same name in "X-Men: Days of Future Past".
One would have to say Hugh Jackman could very well be mistaken as a big comic book geek himself seeing he's always remained faithful as the iconic Wolverine character, but that might come to an end with "X-Men: Days of Future Past" in 2014.
