A Valley favorite will return to the ring and answer the critics on Jan. 18 the way he does best, by displaying sheer talent as a fighter. Emilio "Milo Time" Garcia will be featured on Valley Promoter Michelle Rosado's, "Raging Babe Events" card at the Arizona Event Center in Mesa, Arizona.
For a fighter, this kid has been through a lot. The death of his best friend last year deeply impacted him and still does to this day. Garcia has had numerous trainers, all of which he has learned from and is grateful. His last trainer was Chuck McGregor, an old school trainer who is forever a Phoenix favorite. Due to an illness in McGregor's family, Garcia was once again forced to find a new trainer.
Garcia also suffered a knee injury in preparing for a fight against a crafty Jensen Ramirez last year. Garcia also said he was advised by his doctors not to fight. Garcia faced a lot of criticism for not fighting, much of it unjust as rumors began to surface.
These days Garcia is training out of the Iron Boy Gym in Phoenix, he has again restructured his career and is now trained by Alfredo Escarcega, a trainer who knows the fight game. Garcia also has Richard Macias as his conditioning coach, both Escarcega and Macias have a knack for bringing the best out in a fighter.
For Garcia, he knows the only way to silence the critics is to step in the ring and fight, something he has done seven times before with great success.
Whether a fan or a hater, one must respect what he has done in the ring, he always puts on a good show and fights with heart. Garcia says he is excited to fight again and is looking forward to climbing in the ring.
