The Sacramento Republic F.C. and the Wilmington Hammerheads F.C. battled to a 0-0 draw Sunday night. Both teams played a very tough game as was expected due to the postseason implications. A secured spot in second place was on the line for Sacramento whilst Wilmington and Harrisburg are fighting for seventh place. A loss would have bumped both clubs down a notch so nothing short of a win or tie was on the mind of the Republic and the Hammerheads.

A crowd of over two thousands fans were in attendance at Legion Stadium to watch the home team Hammerheads take to the pitch to battle the Republic. Both teams played a tough game that saw very few scoring opportunities as both defenses played excellent along with stellar goal defending play from Sacramento's Jake Gleeson and Wilmington's Brad Stuver. Gleeson made one save and recorded his fourth shutout of the season. With the tie, Sacramento remains in second place with a two point lead over the Richmond Kickers. Orlando City S.C. sits on top in first place with a three point lead whilst Wilmington is tied with Harrisburg for seventh place.

Sacramento Republic F.C. has two more regular season games remaining and they're both at Bonney Field. Their next game will be Thursday against the Oklahoma City Energy F.C.
