Obama Democrats are blaming their landslide defeat in the midterm elections on an uninformed electorate. Their story goes that the American people do not really know what Obama has done.
The problem, they think, is a messaging problem first and foremost: the Democrats have just not done a good job of explaining the President's many accomplishments.
This line of thinking is false.
Voters are not asking "What has the President done?" And anyway, informed persons could easily debunk the spin doctored half-truths the President's apologists would give in retort.
The question itself is moot because it -- like the answers -- are half-baked. Voters know what Obama has and hasn't done. And on balance they dislike it greatly.
The bottom line is that Americans woke up to whats up: Obamacrats ignored job creation to push a series of massive corporate bailouts, including the trillion dollar bailout of corporate donors sold as "economic stimulus" and the trillion dollar bailout of Big Pharma and Big Insurance laughingly disguised as "reform."
Folks left, right, and center urged Obama and his minions to stop, change course, and refocus on the middle class. They ignored the advice.
So... *shrug* oh well. The midterm results are not a fluke or a surprise.
As I have known for three years that Emperor HopeNChange has no clothes, the only thing that still kind of surprises me is the stubborn gullibility of his remaining defenders, but even Bush had holdouts till the bitter end.
