Years ago people were with someone because they loved them. Now it is money and sex. Valentine's Day has been known to be a Hallmark Holiday because that is when Hallmark makes the most money. People rush to the stores to get their loved one a card.
Girls will often brag to everyone what their boyfriend buys them. The real meaning of Valentine's Day isn't about that.
The real meaning of Valentine's Day is spending it with the one you love. It doesen't matter what you buy each other. You also shouldn't wait for one day a year to let that person know how much you love them.
You also don't need to go bragging to all of your friends about what your boyfriend bought you. If they ask that is one thing, but don't rub it in the single people's faces. Just be thankful that you have someone to share this day with.
If you are single do not let this day get you down. There is love for everyone. It all comes down to timing. At the right time you will meet that special person. There is a perfect person for everyone. If you do have someone don't make money be importnat. You could be eating at the Plaza with a guy but if he isn't treating you right then you don't have anything.
