The real life drama over Michael Muhney’s (ex Adam Newman) abrupt dismissal just keeps on coming.

The ousted actor has taken to Twitter to defend himself regarding the alleged charges that he sexually harassed co-star Hunter King (Summer).

‘Benjamin Franklin said it best, 'Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.... and that quote doesn't only apply to what is being said about ME. It also applies to others. Please be kind to everyone.’ Muhney Tweeted this week (via Soap Opera Digest).

Some see Muhney’s comments as a denial to the alleged harassment charges. Others think the actor is merely speaking out to protect himself. That his silence perhaps made him look guilty.

In a related story, a number of Muhney’s devoted fans have gotten together on Facebook and raised money to fly a support banner for the actor over the CBS studios.

According to TMZ, the group raised $785. The banner will read ‘No Adam Newbie, just Michael Muhney.’

The only thing we don’t know is exactly when that banner will fly.

‘The Young and the Restless’ airs weekdays at 12:30 on Detroit’s local CBS affiliate WWJ.
