“The Real Housewives of New York City” has become the sore thumb for the Bravo network. Each year the viewers have been dwindling down. Season 6 garnered just over a half-million viewers throughout the season. The network has picked up Season 7, but no cast news has been released yet. According to an August 5 report from New York Daily News, Ramona Singer insists the ratings have dropped because there aren't a lot of interesting personalities on the show. Singer feels like she carries the show along with best friend Sonja Morgan.
Season 6 of “The Real Housewives of New York City” had a lot of Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan moments. Singer actually had fans riled up over her behavior this season, especially when she threw the wine glass at Kristen Taekman. Rumor has it that the reunion show is going to reveal a lot about the ladies and where they stand after this season.
Ramona Singer tweeted asking fans if they were ready for part two of “The Real Housewives of New York City” reunion tonight. The previews for the show allude to the fact that Andy Cohen asks Singer about the problems in her marriage. Earlier this year she filed for divorce from husband Mario Singer, but they have since reconciled. The drama that surrounds her is enough to give anyone a headache!
While it is true the cast has changed since the highest ratings in 2009, it doesn't mean they won't be able to get back to where “The Real Housewives of New York City” once was. It would be great to see Bethenny Frankel back on the show, especially since her talk show was canceled. LuAnn de Lesseps was once a full-time housewife, but it isn't likely she will want to return with the way things are between her and Sonja Morgan. Bravo has time to repair the madness, and hopefully they do.
