The Real Housewives of Atlanta” has been in and out of the news recently. Between the sentencing for Apollo Nida and NeNe Leakes calling out Wendy Williams, the cast definitely knows how to stay relevant. Nida is facing eight years in a federal prison, and Phaedra Parks will be left to parent their two young sons on her own. According to a July 25 report from RumorFix, Phaedra Parks is going to take a leave of absence from Season 7 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” It looks like airing Nida's dirty laundry isn't something she is comfortable with.

The sentencing for Apollo Nida took place earlier this month. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star was upset because Phaedra Parks didn't attend the hearing, and later blasted her when doing an interview. Nida's comments have started speculation about where their marriage is headed. Parks is reportedly thinking of divorcing Nida while he is serving time. There is a lot to think about, and it looks like taking some time away from the show will do Parks good.

Fans know there has been conflict between Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” because of Apollo Nida. Nida was texting Moore and trying to carry on an inappropriate relationship with her while all three were filming the show. According to a tweet, it looks like Parks may be taking the leave of absence from the show because Nida has come clean about what happened with Moore.

It is disappointing to know that Season 7 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” will not feature Phaedra Parks. Fans were looking forward to watching her cope with the tremendous damage Apollo Nida has done to their family. Reports are saying that Parks wants to return for Season 8. The new season should begin airing sometime this fall, but an official date has not been announced.
