Fans have been talking about “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for months. When Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams had their brawl, it was all over social media. Since then, Apollo Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison and his wife Phaedra Parks has decided to take a break from the show. Season 7 is going to be airing soon, and there are more changes. According to an August 9 report from Chicago Defender, two new cast members are being added. Demetria McKinney and Claudia Jordan will be added to the show in hopes of bringing some much-needed new drama.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is one of the more popular shows on the Bravo network, and the executives don't want the momentum to die. Adding Demetria McKinney and Claudia Jordan will likely ignite more rivalry, which is exactly what fans want to see. Jordan starred on “Celebrity Apprentice” opposite of NeNe Leakes, so the two are already familiar. McKinney has been a model and appeared on several different shows.
It seems all of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars have kept busy in the off-season. NeNe Leakes is currently working on a fashion line with HSN, Kenya Moore took an embarrassing fall on a stage, Phaedra and Apollo have their marital issues linked to his sentencing, Cynthia has been with Peter while launching his businesses, and Porsha got hired on “Dish Nation.” There is no slowing down these women!
There has not yet been an actual air date released for Season 7 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” yet. Some scenes have reportedly been filmed, but nothing has been confirmed. The addition of Demetria McKinney and Claudia Jordan should make for an interesting season. Will there be new alliances formed, or will the ladies stay at odds over past confrontations?
