Hold onto your weave, another black wig's coming out!
On next week's episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta--episode 7 if you're keeping track--Kim has a wig party and invites her friends over to try on wigs and drink wine.
On another episode this season, Kim had gone to the Empire Beauty School to consult with a representative about her wig line idea. She even sat in on a class!
BeautySchool.Com wrote an article discussing Kim's field trip to the Empire Beauty School, in Atlanta, and they say:
During her trip to Empire Beauty School, Kim seemed overwhelmed by the amount of education needed to become a cosmetologist. She made it very clear that education was not her thing, instead deciding to hire people with the know-how to help her in her business venture. Although she decided to personally skip on the Empire Beauty School education, she seemed to enjoy her trip and even made a comment about hiring one of the cosmetology-educated women she met that day.
I can't help but think of Gretchen Rossi's Pursuit of Everlasting Beauty. At her website now there is a "message center" where visitors can post questions and check back for the answers--she passes on the questions to "beauty experts" who will reply on the 10th with their golden answers, lucky you!
While Gretchen most likely (but who really knows) does not have a wig line in the works, she has a bunch of other things, including clothing and makeup lined up for a later date.
Her "shop" is not open for business yet, but there is a small picture of a T-shirt that reads, "Just because I'm the new girl doesn't mean that you can tell me to shut up!" an obvious response to Vicki Gunvalson.
Back to the preview of next week's episode, Kim invites NeNe to her wig party because she's always teasing her about her hair. NeNe comes, drinks white wine, puts on a wig, and channels Kim talking on the phone to Big Poppa... which doesn't go over so well.
To wigs and white whine, cheers!
