Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen 2012, Janae Calaway, will appear with Jerri Lien and Jennifer Solsten of The Real Beauty Team on Good Morning Northwest on KVEW on Friday, March 22, at approximately 6:40 am. The team will give skincare tips, speak about the breakthrough nighttime skincare product, NeriumAD, and promote their fundraiser for Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen, which will take place at 7:00 pm on the evening of March 22.
Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen is part of the Miss Washington Scholarship Organization, a part of the overall Miss America Organization. This pageant is for young women between 13 and 17 years old. Janae Calaway is the third consecutive Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen titleholder to come from the Tri Cities. This is highly unusual since MWOT is a statewide scholarship pageant.
The Real Beauty Team was designed as a means of sharing wisdom and experience gained from studying, working, and educating others on skincare and makeup. Its founders have a collective 45 years in the beauty and skincare industries. Both women are Brand Partners with Nerium International. They have a passion for building up and empowering women of all ages. This lends naturally to the interest in volunteering with and raising money for Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen, a scholarship pageant. Jerri Lien and Jennifer Solsten welcome the opportunity to be a part of fostering confidence, poise, and achievement in our state's young women.
Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen is part of Miss Washington Scholarship Organization. This pageant is the official preliminary competition that leads to Miss America's Outstanding Teen. The mission of MWOT is:
To encourage positive achievement by helping to nurture and build the scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement of our state's teens.
The 2013 MWOT pageant will take place May 24-26, 2013 at Highline Performing Arts in Burien, Washington.
