The rape prevention whistle that didn't

"This is the whistle that couldn't save me..."

On the heels a rape victim being berated before the Colorado State Senate, the same victim relates on nation-wide television that another victim of rape was unable to testify before the lawmaking body due to unknown reasons, but was able to retell the story of the much ballyhooed rape whistle that did nothing for the victim, as reported by Fox News on March 5, 2013. While appearing on the early morning show Fox & Friends, rape victim Amanda Collins was relating to host Gretchen Carlson of the recent berating she publically received from anti-gun advocate State Senator Evie Hudak when Collins testified that if she had her legally owned firearm, her raping while attending the University of Nevada at Reno would have turned out much different, as previously covered by Examiner.com.

"I'm speaking out about this because there needs to be a voice for women.

You know, and even after I testified in Colorado, a woman came up to me and she gave me a hug and showed me the whistle on her keychain, and she said 'thank you for speaking out because I'm not going to get a chance to testify, but this is the whistle that couldn't save me.'"

Collins also stated that if she had her legally owned pistol the night of her attack, the lives of two other victims of her rapist would have never been touched.

The individual that raped Collins, James Biela, currently sits on Nevada's Death Row for the subsiquent raping of two other women, one of whom he brutally murdered by beating her to death.
