The Raiders release Darrius Heyward-Bey, Michael Huff, and David Tollefson

The Oakland Raiders are already making drastic moves for the 2013 NFL season. It was reported on Tuesday that the Silver and Black released three major players.

It was reported on the Fox News web page on Tuesday evening that the Raiders released wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, defensive back Michael Huff, and defensive end David Tollefson. According to the article, the players were release on Tuesday.

Heyward-Bey was picked from Maryland in the 2009 NFL draft, seventh overall pick. In 2011, Heyward-Bey caught 64 passes for 975 with four touchdowns. That was his best year with the Raiders.

Huff was also a seventh overall pick, 2006 NFL draft. His best year with the Siver and Black was 2010 when he got 94 tackles with three interceptions.

Tollefson joined the Raiders in 2021 after spending five with the New York Giants. His one year stint was not very impressive last year, eight tackles in 15 games.

Fox News also reported that the Raiders did sign a player after dropping three. The player is defensive back Phillip Adams in which last season he appeared in 15 games. In those games, he got 15 tackles and two interceptions.
