The next question to consider in this brainstorming process is really logical. “Where” is all about location and logistics. These “where” questions will force you to think and plan ahead. People often skip over this step and it can lead to unnecessary stress and uncertainty for both you and the child. These questions are not necessarily thought provoking or challenging, but they are vitally important when considering taking a child in. Having these details nailed down will help give the child a sense of stability and help the transitioning process. Unexpected problems are inexplicably going to arise so the more you have planned the better off you will be.
Example Questions:
• Where in the house will the child stay?
• Where will they store their stuff?
• Where will they sleep?
• Where will they go to school?
• Where will you be able to take them? (Counseling, After-School Activities, etc)
