The Queen has arrived and she is ready to reclaim her throne. Queen Latifah who got her start as a strong sophisticated rapper back in the late 1980’s has blossomed into one of the most diverse celebrities in Hollywood.
Latifah hosted her very first talk show simply titled “The Queen Latifah Show” in September of 1999 and it aired until August of 2001.
The 2nd time around could be a charm for the singer, actress and cover girl spokeswoman. According to Deadline the new Queen Latifah Talk show will launch in the fall of 2013.
The talk show will be produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith along with Latifah acting as a third executive producer.
The Queen Latifah show will air on 16 CBS television station across the country, featuring celebrity interviews, human interest stories, musical performance and pop culture.
According to Deadline Queen Latifah will also get to showcase her talents by blending comedy and music into her hosting duties.
