With the announcement that the PS4 would contain the whopping amount of 8GB of RAM, gamers and developers alike took this news as an outstanding improvement when compared to current generation consoles. With access to this much system memory, games will have the ability to deliver content that is many levels above what is currently seen.
As reported in an article posted by gamechup yesterday, Wedbush Morgan video game analyst, Michael Pachter has stated that the addition of this much RAM allows a new level of innovation. Going into more detail about the performance of this system, Pachter also believes that the 8-core CPU supplied with this system will supply a huge improvement.
Speaking about a possible price point for the PS4, he believes that the system will launch at a price point under $599. Sony has yet to give any information on a release price or launch timeframe for this system, but we expect to see more details on this at E3 in June.
