New Town Criers Signs

Will the capitalist system be retained?
Or will tyranny prevail?

The People will settle the issue!

Like the Town Criers of old, the Saint Augustine Tea Party’s Town Crier Committee has been sounding the alarm in the historic district of St. Augustine, Florida. [See “A look at Town Crier’s history” August 26, 2013, at] Today marked the 114th ringing of the Town Crier bell. The modern day Criers use signs instead of the vocal pronouncements of old.

Look out Hillary

On February 9, 2014, the Town Criers introduced a new sign which declared Hillary for Prison Benghazi. It is pictured on the left. Up and down St. George Street the sign was received with a smile and nod of approval.

At the same time, this Sunday, the political pundits on CBS and ABC where busy talking about the inevitability of Hillary’s nomination for President of the United States. Reassuring themselves, they were confident that Benghazi would fade from the public’s attention prior to the 2016 election. It is not likely that her opponents will let people forget. The statement, “Hillary for Prison” instantly resonated. “The Benghazi deaths are etched in the public’s soul,” a Town Crier retorted. Another sign was also displayed for the first time. It is also pictured on the left. While both sides were well received it is this reporter’s opinion that the Hillary sign got the most comments. Perhaps it was the play on words and the humor implied.

From the conversations that took place today, it is clear that the public truly knows what Obama is and what he represents. The public seems to understand that Obama is a radical, Marxist revolutionary and his approach is straight out of Saul Alinsky’s "Rules for Radicals". They want him impeached, but believe that the politicians in Washington will never do it. So if the people are to resist Obama’s “Fundamental changing of America”, they are going to have to stand up and resist. According to the Criers, “It is not clear as to what the public is going to do. If they retreat from the government’s bullying, then the American way of life is over.”
