The doors have opened to the fourth location of the legendary, wait for it, Zagat-Rated #1 steakhouse, The Prime Rib at the Maryland Live! Casino. Over the 48 years The Prime Rib Baltimore has received numerous accolades and awards; Best of Baltimore by Baltimore Magazine, one of the Top Five Romantic Restaurants in the U. S. by Food and Wine magazine and Esquire magazine’s Top Twenty Steakhouses in the U.S. to mention a few. Proof is in the longevity and popularity of the Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. The media was invited to tour the new The Prime Rib at Maryland Live! Casino restaurant and enjoy passed hors d’ouevres of there well established edibles as well as the new like Oysters Chesapeake (baked oysters topped with crab imperial), Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Grilled Steak, Lamb Chops, Sesame Seared Tuna, Lacquered Bacon & Eggs, and of course, Prime Rib.
Not sure exactly where Maryland Live! Casino was located; I knew it was on the periphery of Arundel Mills Mall so I arrived early. If you have been to the mall know that it is almost opposite the main entrance in the back area. There is a free parking lot but I suggest you ride a bit farther to the main entrance to the casino and use the valet for $5 (which The Prime Rib validates). The Prime Rib at Maryland Live! Casino is right off the main entrance.
There is no mistaking The Prime Rib’s black and gold décor with leopard skin accoutrements. The bar area is much larger than the Baltimore location, 75 seats with built in televisions. Something different is the 76 seat open-air patio with the retractable roof and large glass fire pit where one can have cocktails, dine or enjoy one of the numerous premium cigars from their floor to ceiling humidor. The floor to ceiling wine keepers creates the four walls for the private dining area in the main dining room. In my honest opinion I think this is a pretty slick ergonomic use of where to keep the wine. Be sure to check out my slideshow.

As for dress code, The Prime Rib at Maryland Live! Casino recommends business professional or business casual attire that is fitted, neat and appropriate to a fine dining environment.
Dining room is available Sunday-Thursday: 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.; Friday & Saturday: 5:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. Lounge opens daily at 4:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday; and 12:30 a.m. Friday & Saturday.
