MY LITTLE children, I write you these things so that you may not violate God's law and sin. Wouldn't it be nice not to sin? Having a perfect life, living so that others know you are a Christian who really loves by the way you live and speak, would be a most wonderful thing. Who of us is like that? There are a very minute few. Though we who are left, sinners by nature and experience, are so very graced to have an Advocate, Intercessor, Prayer Warrior on our side.
It's such a comfort when we have an illness in the family to have a good friend praying. And when we've done wrong it's better than remaining guilty to have someone tell us, "Don't worry, you're forgiven."
Somehow, someway Jesus is always on the throne on the right hand side of God and He is our Advocate, someone who pleads before God for our innocence, our forgiveness, the cleansing of our heart. He's also our Intercessor. One of the hyponyms of intercessor is matchmaker. The Savior brings you and I together with God. He knows we're the perfect match. God has a Father's heart of love and we have a need to be loved. God bought us and we are drifting in need of One who knows the price we're
