"The Price is Right" celebrated episode number 7,000 with a special 7,000-themed episode on Nov. 5, 2009. Drew Carey, host of the longest running game show, made no secret of the milestone, mentioning it several times during each game. You could tell this was a special and proud moment for everyone involved.
Several of the games had themes representing the number 7,000, such as a game where three trips were each over 7,000 miles of travel. The target price for Grand Game was $7.00,
A very special 7,000-themed game was Lucky Seven. Carey gave the contestant $7,000 in cash to play with instead of the usual 7 $1 bills. The game played the same, and the contestant ended up losing the car and the $7,000.
Another special game for the episode was Any Number, which was the first game ever played on "The Price is Right." The game is very simple: There are three prizes, including a piggy bank with only a few dollars, and the contestant must guess numbers to fill in the prices of each item. The first item that has a complete price is the prize the contestant wins.
The 7,000 show showcase winner took home floor tiles, new Viking kitchen appliances, a mini keyboard, an Apple computer and a first class, luxury trip to Acapulco. The showcase was an updated version of the first showcase the game show ever featured.

The show has sparked prime time segments, video games, board games and more and was named the greatest game show of all time by TV Guide in 2007. It has also won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show five times.
CBS says the show has given away almost a quarter of a billion dollars in prizes to 62,000 contestants who hailed from all 50 states and were ages 18-99.
According to the CBS press release, the 7,000 episode is host Drew Carey's 415th show and announcer Rich Field's 1,001st show.
